Best Practices for Struct Tagging

Hey folks, I'm building a Go API, and I'm working with struct tags to handle JSON serialization. Are there best practices for struct tags in Go, especially when dealing with nested structs?

(Controversial) Do We Really Need OOP Anymore?

In today’s world of functional programming, microservices, and flexible scripting languages, OOP’s rigid class hierarchies and inheritance can feel limiting and unnecessarily complex. Many modern applications benefit more from modular, stateless functions and data transformations that are easier to scale, test, and adapt, suggesting that we might be better off focusing on simpler, more adaptable paradigms rather than strict OOP. SO WHY DO WE NEED IT ANYWAY ???

Error Handling Patterns

I'm learning Go and noticing it handles errors differently from other languages. I’m wondering if there are any recommended patterns for managing error handling gracefully, especially in larger projects. Would love to know what’s worked for you all

Mongolian Rock

Lately I really like listening to Mongolian rock. I feel incredible drive and energy while listening to the tracks. My favorite song are The HU - The Great Chinggis Khaan and The HU - Yuve Yuve Yu ! Traditional Mongolian instruments and throat singing give Mongolian rock its unique vibe

If Anime Characters Were Programmers, What Would Their Coding Styles Be?

Hey everyone! As a big fan of both anime and programming, I thought it’d be fun to imagine what type of programmers our favorite anime characters would be. For example: Light Yagami (Death Note): Probably a backend developer with a talent for writing incredibly complex algorithms. He’d definitely be the one creating secure systems but with a dark twist! Naruto Uzumaki (Naruto): Full-stack developer with tons of energy! He'd be all about collaborative work, tackling problems head-on, and finding creative solutions. He'd be the one bringing team spirit to the office! Levi Ackerman (Attack on Titan): I see him as the quality assurance master. He’d make sure every line of code is spotless and probably wouldn’t let any bugs slip by. Super strict about code quality! Who else would you add, and what would their coding style be like? Let’s see how many creative responses we can get!

WIFI Security tips

Hello to all the pathetic creatures that inhabit this forum. Today I am sharing with you, the brainless, security tips for your home Wi-Fi: Change Default Credentials: Always update the default username and password on your router. Use Strong Encryption: Opt for WPA3 or at least WPA2 for better security; avoid WEP. Regular Firmware Updates: Keep your router's firmware updated to protect against vulnerabilities. Disable WPS: Turn off Wi-Fi Protected Setup to prevent brute-force attacks. Monitor Devices: Regularly check for unauthorized devices connected to your network. Conduct Penetration Testing: Use tools like Aircrack-ng to identify vulnerabilities in a controlled setting.
